Ruins (1962, 1966, 1977, Bruxelles, Galerie Isy Brachot)

“Geometricism, the autonomous characteristic of the painter, continues in his numerous scenes as a trajectory of a new gravity whereby characters walk, float and fly, buildings are oblique or vice versa, pillars lean on walls of a square, an atrium finds itself above the dome of a crumbling palace, windows or doors hold the walls, chests and tables move through the interior. The possibility and the impossibility are both the light and the shade, the passivity and the ease, the nostalgic peace and the tension of intentions, and barely hinted sounds and movements.
