Homo Volans (1971, MG in Zagreb)
“The enigmatic title Homo Volans could perhaps vertically surmount the fantasy: Abodes, Swimming Pools, Lagoons, Farewells, Promenades, Recluses. In the fervor of his vision, he moves the contours of cities, brick walls, umber colored doors; he fragments the ruins of a cathedral on a mystical square – the center of the world where a new experience is sensed by a silent flight. Vasilije Josip Jordan’s fin de siècle paintings take us on a journey from the end of one to the beginning of the other time, i.e. to the oneiric space.
